Optech, a leading manufacturer of advanced lidar and camera survey instruments, has announced its 6th international terrestrial laser scanning user meeting on 26 and 27 June 2012 in Nice, France. End-users and experts in both static and mobile terrestrial laser scanning will present practical, real-world projects and examples. These presentations will engender discussions on different set-ups, strategies, successes and challenges in using lidar in an ever-changing marketplace. Topics will include effective mapping techniques applied to a variety of applications – from natural hazards to engineered formations – and how to successfully take a project from field measurements to creating final deliverables.
