Authors and presenters should aim to serve the needs of readers and conference delegates, provide appropriate solutions, and share knowledge and experience.

The selection process
The process for those wishing to submit and present a paper at the SASGI 2013 conference is as follows:
Following a formal call for papers commencing 13 March 2013, the title, principal author, abstract/synopsis, brief CV of the presenter, and the final full-text paper in editable MS Word format must be submitted here by 18 June 2013.
The abstracts and papers received will be reviewed and selected by the SASGI 2013 papers committee based on their stature, significance, relevance, correctness, originality, clarity, availability of space, and other considerations.
Authors and presenters will be advised the outcome of the selection by 24 June 2013.
The final full-text papers for the conference CD and printed Proceedings of the SASGI 2013 Conference will then be collated and printed by 18 July 2013 for insertion into the delegate bags.
Powerpoint slide presentations of not more than 15 slides per presentation are required by 12 July 2013 for the conference CD which will be inserted into the delegate bags.
Presentations at the conference without a full-text paper that has been reviewed and accepted for publication in the conference proceedings will not be allowed.
Authors will be allocated a 20-minute slot at the SASGI 2013 conference to present their papers, and will be provided with a digital projector, screen, laser pointer, podium, microphone, remote mouse and notebook PC with the latest version of PowerPoint for their presentation. Presenters may also use their own notebook PCs if preferred. Due to time limitations, the 20-minute presentations will be limited to 15 slides.
The opening slide of a presentation must follow a defined conference slide template, but subsequent slides may be free format. Presenters must ensure the text of their slides has adequately sized fonts and background contrast for visibility.
Copyright of papers presented at the SASGI 2013 conference is vested in SAGI, EE Publishers and the author(s), and the papers will be published in the official conference proceedings, CD and website. Selected papers may also be published in PositionIT magazine.
Permission is not required for publishing of abstracts, for copying of papers for personal use, or for publishing by the authors of their papers on their personal websites or their organisationís public archive, provided that the full details of the source are acknowledged.
Other than this, papers may not be copied, republished, transmitted or used commercially in any form without the written permission of SAGI, EE Publishers and the author(s).
