One millionth industrial PC sold

Frank Minkwitz, Siemens Industry Automation
Division and Winfried Hils,
Homag Holzbearbeitungssysteme.
A certificate testifying to the one millionth industrial PC (IPC) produced by Siemens was handed over by Frank Minkwitz, Head of Customized Automation at the Siemens Industry Automation Division, on the occasion of the Hannover Fair to Winfried Hils, Head of System Technology Research and Development for the woodworking machinery manufacturer Homag Holzbearbeitungssysteme GmbH. The IPC used by Homag was produced in the Siemens electronic plant in Karlsruhe, and is a customised Simatic Box-PC. Simatic IPCs are built by Siemens to comply with the highest standards of long-term availability, compatibility, innovative technology and quality, and are designed to withstand tough industrial environments.
